Khalen Young Winning Downunder

Here is the Elite Men’s Final held at Nerang BMX track on Saturday 7th January. Part of the Australia Probikx series, this race saw Rockstar’s Khalen Young take home first!

Barry and Khalen are back for another action-packed episode of their Web series “The Parliament.” This time, they take us along for a day of shreddin at Woodward West, and KY impresses the hell out of us with his double blackflip skills in the foam pit. Then, it’s off to Chula Vista for the Supercross finale.

We watched, with anticipation, to see how the show would handle the last turn crash in the Semi. And it didn’t disappoint with Khalen saying, in a sit-down after the race, “No ill feeling toward Joris, I mean that was just racing…” All the while holding an honest-to-goodness shotgun over his shoulder (that was an LOL moment, for sure. chick-chick…BOOM!). “On to the next,” Says KY.

Classroom Visit

Rockstar Olympian Maris Strombergs went to Elementary School classrooms to speak to kids about being in the Olympics and the work it takes to get there. Each kid was asked to write Maris a letter about his visit and how much they appreciated it. Check out one of the letters and a photo of Maris with one classroom:

Maris Strombergs Wins NBL Title and More

NBL Grand Nationals

This past weekend Maris Strombergs not only won the NBL Grand National Race but also took the NBL Title in the process for the 2nd year in a row. This is Strombergs’ 2nd major title for 2010 after also winning the World Championships in South Africa last month.

While Maris’ competition was warming up for the race, he spent over 2 hours talking with fans, taking pictures and signing autographs. When Maris arrived on the gate for the race, everything clicked into place and he not only won every qualifier but secured the NBL Title by winning the main event.

Maris’ attention is now focused on the Chula Vista UCI World Cup later this month and then looks forward to the end of Season ABA Title chase.

Haro at the Grands
